We have some exciting news here at the Star Swimming Academy we want to share with you.
Just recently we were accredited with being an approved learning destination for the Children's University, so we are authorised to sign off hours in 'Passports to Learning'.
We are so proud of this accreditation as it shows that our methods of teaching swimming and the level of instruction meets the Children’s University’s strict criteria.
What is Children’s University?
Children’s University (CU) is an International programme that provides 5-14 year olds with exciting and innovative learning activities. We reward children’s participation in voluntary learning activities that will develop their skills and raise aspirations for the future.
How does it work?
The Children’s University (CU) is to recognise and reward children for all the additional learning they do voluntarily outside of school hours. Once registered, through school, students can gain credits from participating in after school activities or from “Public Learning Destinations”. Children are provided with a Passport to Learning for them to collect stamps as proof of their learning.
Once students gain enough credits from both After School Clubs and Public Learning Destinations, they will have the opportunity to graduate at our very special Graduation Ceremony held at Edge Hill University.
Have a read of a special press release (click here) detailing how some of the brilliant children from Sefton and West Lancashire have been recognised for their outstanding achievements from last year.
